The cover of Press The Beauty I worked on a few months ago has been released. Dying to see the rest of it!

Had a great day today helping shoot local designer Jen Ellis' look book. She makes the most delicate jewelry, so easy to make it look good. Things I learned while pulling floral for today: a rose can look like a peony if you take out all the inside petals. Boom.

Behind-the-scenes on the canyon wedding editorial :) Hard to believe these two just met that morning, talk about chemistry! Also, for a split second you can see me like a gremlin, holding branches out of the way while they make eyes at one another, story of mah life!

Finally got to use a falling apart 1920s beaded dress I had in the studio...I know in a few years it will be dust, such is the fate of old silk crepe. Everyone on set was moving in slow motion, holding pieces of it while the model tried to find what used to be arm holes. Now it'll live for ever!

On set today with my old pal, Chris Winter Photography, Win Liu on makeup and Alicia K from Lizbell, whatta face! I have been thinking about this concept ever since I saw this Broken Promises cuff, how to build something around it that is both under watery, misty, and painterly. My heart is so big to have finally seen it come to life in the hands of these talented collaborators!! Katrina Caparas' set painting was second to none, and the pieces from local favourite Dace took it to another level. Can't wait to see the edits on this one!

What a pleasure to come back from vacation to find the edits from this shoot are ready! Worked with some real pros one this one, in a beautiful East Van home...just effortless.

Nothing like walking into a location to build a dusty abandoned warehouse set, only to find that the location is in fact, a warehouse filled with weird old crates and chains, all covered with a perfect layer of undisturbed dust. Awesome!

The spring petal project is really starting to shape up,  just a few more weeks..

Took a break from the studio this week to head up to Lynn Canyon with Jean Cueta to shoot a bridal story for Heirloom Magazine. Everything came together so beautifully, thank you Wasted Effort for the hand made dream catchers, one of which is currently hanging in my home :) and Army of Rokosz & Blake Hyland for the jewelry ( I now know what a snake spine looks like )
